Don't say: "That's not my job."
Why: If your superior asks you to do something, it is your job。
Instead say: "I'm not sure that should be my priority right now." Then have a conversation with your boss about your responsibilities。

Don't say: "This might sound stupid, but…"
Why: Never undermine your ideas by prefacing your remarks with wishy-washy language。
Instead say: "What's on your mind?" It reinforces your credibility to present your ideas with confidence。

Why: It's plain rude, in person or on the phone。
Instead say: "I'm just finishing something up right now. Can I come by when I'm done?" Graciously explain why you can't talk now, and suggest catching up at an appointed time later. Let phone calls go to voice mail until you can give callers your undivided attention。

4. Don't I know it. 我完全同意!
當(dāng)此句型以句點(diǎn)(.)而非問號(hào)結(jié)尾時(shí),表示完全同意對(duì)的方意見,為口語(yǔ)用法,強(qiáng)調(diào)的是肯定的含意。意思為"我怎會(huì)不知道!?;我當(dāng)然明白這一點(diǎn)!"。
例:You say the discount rate is too low? Don't I know it!

5. in a nutshell 簡(jiǎn)言之
"nutshell"原為"堅(jiān)果殼",又指"極小的容器",故 "in a nutshell" 這個(gè)副詞短語(yǔ)的意思是"簡(jiǎn)言之"。
例:Bob told us in a nutshell what happened in the managers' meeting.
(Bob簡(jiǎn)略地告訴我們經(jīng)理們開會(huì)的情形。)
6. growth sector 成長(zhǎng)領(lǐng)域
這個(gè)經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)上的名詞是指經(jīng)濟(jì)成長(zhǎng)特別快速的領(lǐng)域, "sector"是"區(qū)域;部門"的意思。
例:The leisure and entertainment industry is a growth sector in Taiwan.

所謂巧妙, 指的就是周圍情況的觀察力,以及能夠說出最善體人意或最貼切的話。TACTFUL巧妙, 這個(gè)英文單字,若把它拆開則七各字母分別代表了不同的意義。
T: Think before you speak 三思而后”言”
很多人往往心直口快,根本沒想到自己犀利的言詞可能對(duì)別人造成的傷害。因此說話不能不經(jīng)過大腦,在要說出口之前,先想想看”如果別人對(duì)我這樣說,我會(huì)作何感想?”
A: Apologize quickly when you blunder 失言時(shí)立刻致歉
如果你確實(shí)說錯(cuò)話了,就必須立刻道歉,勇于承認(rèn)錯(cuò)誤,不要編一大堆借口,以免越描越黑。
C: Coverse, don`t compete 和別人溝通,不要和別人比賽
