Displaying Wealth Online
Nowadays, it is not rare to see people displaying their wealth on the Internet. Some post pictures of luxury goods, such as brand clothes and bags, luxurious automobiles or jewelries. Some write about their experiences in which a lot of money is spent.
People have different responses to this phenomenon. Some say that it is people’s right to share their possessions or experiences with others on the Internet, as long as the things are legal and the experiences real. However, some criticize that the rich people are too arrogant. What’s worse, there are also a few who are not actually rich but put fake photos only to satisfy their vanity.
In my opinion, sharing is a good thing, and it is exactly the spirit of the Internet. But people should make careful choice on what they are sharing. After all, showing off is not very nice, not to mention faking.

注:NEET是Not in Education, Employment or Training的縮略語(yǔ),即我們所說(shuō)的“啃老族”。
NEET
The problem of NEET, once well-known in the UK and Japan, has been brought into public attention now in China. NEET refers to the group of the young who are not currently engaged in education, employment or training. Most of these young people just stay at home or idle about, avoiding employment and relying on their parents.
There are mainly two reasons for this phenomenon. For one thing, with the expansion of university enrollment, an increasing number of college graduates pour into job-hunting market every year. Unfortunately, some of them are not fully prepared and thus become unemployed the time they graduate. For another, some young people are badly spoilt as the only child of their family, so they psychologically and financially depend on their parents even when they are already grown-ups.
To solve this problem, first, colleges should provide pre-job training courses for the young. Second, parents should cultivate their children the sense of independence. Last but not the least, college students should equip themselves with skills and knowledge so that they will become competitive when seeking jobs.

Online Learning
Perhaps there is something you don’t know how to do. In the past, you might turn to a friend or a relative, attend a night class or go to the local library to find the answer. But at present a lot of websites are springing up to offer free practical advice on these subjects and actually anything else you can imagine.
Why is online learning so popular among people? The answer is obvious: online learning is much more convenient. In the past, you perhaps had to spend plenty of time learning in a night class or going to the library to look for relevant materials. However, now when you run into a problem, you just need to click the mouse, then a lot of related websites will appear in front of you.
However, not all the materials on the Internet are correct; sometimes they are false. Thus, if you want to learn something from the Internet, you should make sure what you will learn is completely correct.

Electronic Waste
Constant innovations and breakthroughs in technology are helping the world. Electronic products such as television, cell phones and computers have brought great convenience to people. There is no doubt that they make our life colorful.
But there’s a downside. The amount of electronic wastes, or products that have outlived their useful life, is growing so rapidly that it represents a threat now. One of the problems people concern most is that the components in many electronic products contain harmful chemicals that can leak into the ground, contaminate underground water, pollute the environment, and finally do harm to people’s health.
E-waste is a global problem. To address it, countries around the world must take action now to control the situation. Concerned regulation or law should be passed for the disposal of e-waste. For example, the government should require retailers to collect and recycle used electronics.
五、在家辦公
Working from Home
1.現(xiàn)在有些單位開(kāi)始允許員工在家辦公
2.在家辦公的好處
3.這種現(xiàn)象可能產(chǎn)生的影響
【范文】
Working from Home
Certain companies, especially some small-scale businesses, start to encourage their siaff to work from home or use home as £t working base for at least part of the week nowadays. Some offer some form of remote working support to their workforces, such as equipping them with laptops and installing broadband, and others pay for the telephone bills for these workers.
This worJc pattern is popular because it’s clear that there are a number of benefits for these companies. First, it helps retain employees, especially highly- qualified working parents with childcare responsibilities. Second, it brings higher productivity because the employees have fewer interruptions and less commutiBg time. Last but not feas^ it offers savings on premises and other facilities.
However, there are some potential drawbacks. For one thing, there is difficulty of managing home workers and monitoring their performancej and difficulty of maintaining staff development and upgrading skills. For another, it may create a sense of isolation among home workers and it can be harder to maintain team spirit. Therefore, enterprises should weigh the pros and cons before permitting their employees to work at home.
